Distribution Intelligence is all about inventory management. After all, inventory is the heart of your business. Now you can store and manage complex information about your inventory items in a logical and accessible way.
Define inventory items by:
- Item ID: the item ID can be any combination of letters and numbers
- Description: this unlimited field allows you to clearly describe the item
- Item type: choose from Sales Item, Service Item, Miscellaneous, or Assembly, and any other type you'd like to define
- Category: choose from categories that you define in Distribution Intelligence setup
- Pricing: the pricing form allows you to specify individual and bulk pricing for each item
- Assembly setup: select individual items and quantities from your inventory to create assemblies. Distribution Intelligence supports multi-level assemblies up to five levels in depth
Special inventory management capabilities include:
- Inventory can be stored and found by locations attached to items in the inventory database.
- Items on hand can be shipped and customers can be invoiced even if an error has been made recording inventory. The Inventory can then be trued up later without having delayed the shipment or invoicing.
- Item Assembly feature adjusts inventory quantities and carries sub-components cost through to the assembly, but still allows flexible pricing for sub-components.
- Order inventory items with your vendor's part numbers, even if you buy the same part from several vendors. Search all your inventory items or only those with specific vendor's part numbers in purchasing.
Special Projects
Distribution Intelligence allows you to group tasks (sales, checks, items, etc.) into a whole for reporting. Set up a Project when you’re undertaking a task that involves several different transactions, like moving, expansion, and renovation.
